The Humane Society of the United States is working side by side with the South Carolina Attorney General, Henry McMaster to offer up to a $ 5000.00 dollar reward for the information leading to the arrest and conviction of a dogfighter.
If you suspect dogfighting in your neighborhood, call one of the numbers below.
YOUR IDENTITY WILL BE PROTECTED.
For more details about the reward program, call:
The HSUS at 202-452-1100 or the S.C. Attorney General's office at 803-734-3970. You can also call the new Crimestoppers statewide hotline at 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372).

We will put updates on Laws and Court Dates here for anyone who would like to participate, they can be from any county in S.C. If you have information you would like us to list, please send us proof of the incident and we will list it for you.

If you know of an animal (s) that are suffering from abuse, neglect or are being used for fighting please feel free to contact us.
When possible you will remain anonymous, only if the persons conviction depends on an eyewitness will you be asked to give a statement. In most instances when we get there with Law Enforcement they see enough to bring charges against the owner. However, when it comes to abuse, such as beating, burning, kicking, etc. Law Enforcement will need to know the person(s) who did it.
If you can SAFELY get video or pictures of someone abusing or fighting an animal please try to get pictures of their face(s) as well as the incident.
We understand it is hard watching things like this taking place but if you do not feel it is safe for you to stop them then this will help Law Enforcement bring charges against the person(s) committing the crime.

IN MOST CASES THE PEOPLE WHO ABUSE ANIMALS WILL NOT HESITATE TO HARM A PERSON.....WE ARE ADVISING YOU DO NOT TAKE THE LAW INTO YOUR OWN HANDS, LEAVE IT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT !

We want to work with Law Enforcement to bring animal abuse, neglect and dog and Cock Fighting to a stop. However, the only way this will work is if you help us and them. Please do not let the ugliness that is happening to our animals in this beautiful state go on any longer. Please !
